Submit you archery or bow hunting stories and upon approval we will post them here on the Newbury Pro Shop website.

Please contact stories@newburyarcheryproshop.com, and include the following:

  • Your Name
  • Your Location
  • Attach your story text in an e-mail or MS Word (.doc) document; no longer than 1400 characters (spaces included).
  • Attach an image to be included with your story (optional, but highly recommended!).
    • Accepted formats: .JPEG, .GIF, .PNG
    • 3 MB file size limit; your image(s) will be scaled down as needed.

Just like you to know that my recent change from an older Whisker Biscuit to a new Schaffer rest was dramatic. The tighter groups are unquestionably due to the rest change as nothing else has. The draw is smooth and silent. The snap of the rest opening adds nothing to the sound level of release. The Schaffer rest is a quality and effective product.

First off I would like to thank Barry for all of his help. My bow blew up on Tuesday trying to shoot a nice 8 point. The string went and totalled the bow!  Luckily, my brother Ted, who just moved back to NY from Conn. knew Barry and gave him a call. We went down on Friday, a four hour trip one way, and bought a new Z7. Barry spent a great deal of time with us that day, helping me with sighting in the bow, making sure it had everything tuned on it and just made me feel like I went to the right place.  He is a knowledgeable individual and I would go no place else after this point.  Four hours is no problem at all when I'm going to a guy who I know will take care of me.  When we got the bow home, my brother and I shot the bows the next morning just to get use to it. That night I went out and shot a 6 point!  Thanks Barry for everything! We'll be seeing you again!
